Many would mistake this photo of a teen singing for a scene from a reality show audition. In reality, this is not an audition but an amateur performance from not any ordinary girl but a popular film star. The actress is a known name to Malayalees and is no other than Shruti Haasan, the daughter of legendary Kamal Haasan.
A lanky teen with frizzy hair, deeply immersed in the performance is what Shruti Haasan was during her pre-teen days. The actress shared the picture on Instagram quoting it as one of her first performances in Mumbai.
“This was before I discovered frizz-control products and copious amounts of pizza” quoted the actress.
In 2020, Shruti posted her childhood picture of singing alongside legendary vocalist Asha Bhosle. A seasoned actor, Shruti identifies herself more as a musician than an actor. She is a trained Hindustani vocalist who gave renditions to many hit songs tuned by Harris Jayaraj in Tamil.
