State will continue to receive heavy rain till tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the state will continue to receive heavy rain till tomorrow. The northern districts are more likely to receive heavy rain. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center, the coasts of Kasaragod, Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram districts are likely to experience rough seas and high waves of height up to 3.4 meters till 11:30 tonight.

The Arabian Sea will remain turbulent till Friday. The IMD has advised fishermen not to go fishing as there is a possibility of strong winds on the Kerala Lakshadweep coast till tomorrow and till the 29th on the Karnataka coast. As heavy rain is continuing in Idukki, Collector Sheeba George has ordered a ban on night travel in the district till tomorrow. People have been asked to remain cautious as there is a threat of landslides.
