Malappuram teen fires gunshot at girl's house after failed marriage proposal, arrested

MALAPPURAM: Police on Wednesday arrested a youngster from Malappuram for firing at the home of a girl who walked out from his marriage proposal. The incident took place last night at Kottakkal in Malappuram.

Abu Tahir was arrested by police in the incident. The suspect created panic in the area by firing at the house using an air gun. Three rounds were fired at the woman's house. The windows of the house were broken in the incident.

Abu Tahir's marriage was fixed with the girl but things went awry after the bride’s family learned late about the roguish nature of the groom. The family walked out of the marriage which irked Abu Tahir who took lethal measures to carry out his revenge. The arrest has been recorded.
