Thiruvananthapuram native commits suicide after ex-husband spills nude photos

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman ended her life in Thiruvananthapuram after getting crestfallen learning about her nude images being circulated in social circles by her former husband. The incident took place in Vattiyoorkavu on Wednesday. It was just three days before that she obtained a divorce from the court. In a suicide note found, she blamed the continuous torture from her ex-husband and said was dispirited to continue with life.

The suicide note also mentions about her ex-husband’s cruel shenanigans. According to the note, he used to assault her physically and took her nude photos on the phone, only later to circulate among his friends. The victim's ex-husband is a POCSO case accused, charged for trying to sexually molest his daughter.

After getting a divorce from the court last Saturday, the woman was living with her daughter in Manikanteswaram. Relatives allege that the ex-husband reached the house on Monday night and beat her up.

The police said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident. The ex-husband has been arrested.
