Teen thrashes woman on Kozhikode street for questioning obscene Instagram messages

KOZHIKODE: A youngster brutally attacked a young woman on Kozhikode street after the latter questioned the obscene messages on her Instagram profile. The accused is Mirshad, a native of Omassery. The scary incident took place at Nadammal Poyil in all public glare. Mirshad has gone into hiding after Koduvally police registered a case in this regard. The woman has been admitted to the hospital with serious eye injuries.

The young man was constantly sending obscene messages to the Instagram ID of the complainant. The woman once warned Mirshad about this incident but to no avail. The repeated messages forced the woman to approach the culprit’s house and raise the concern to his family members.

According to the complainant, she also lost her engagement ring in the attack. Mirshad switched off his phone after the police started an investigation into the case. The officials are hoping to nab the culprit soon.
