Four-year undergraduate courses to be launched today in state, inauguration by CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The four-year undergraduate courses in state's universities will begin today with the 'Knowledge Festival'. The state-level inauguration will be conducted by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at Thiruvananthapuram Women's College at 12 noon. Minister Dr R Bindu will preside.

Newcomers will be received under the leadership of senior students, teachers and public representatives. An orientation class about the four-year degree program will follow. The class will follow the unified academic calendar. The syllabus is based on minimum credit and curriculum components prescribed by UGC. Skill development courses and skill development centers will be started. Students can design their own degree structure by choosing subject combinations according to his own interests and goals.
