Accused G Murugan arrested in Valiyamala ISRO job fraud case, extorted Rs 1.5 crores

NEDUMANGAD: Accused G Murugan arrested in Valiyamala ISRO case of extorting Rs one and half crores. The person who was the victim of fraud caught the suspect who reached the Nedumangad bar and handed him over to the police. He was then handed over to Valiyamala police.

About five youths who were defrauded had lodged a complaint at the Valiyamala police station, stating that Murugan extorted money by making them believe that they would get a job at the Valiyamala ISRO under the terms of the contract.

Police say: He took money from many people during COVID time. When those who gave money ask about the job, they usually send them back with different reasons. Then when they inquired at the ISRO centers, they realized that the youth had been cheated. Then a complaint was filed with the police.

Two and a half lakhs from Ratnakumar and Lathika of Kattakkada Amburi and Lekshmipriya and Rajesh of Nedumangad. 40 lakhs from C Vivek Kumar, Arun Kumar, Ganga, Poornima, Umadevi, Athira, Rahul, 18 lakhs from Nita, 15 lakhs from Aanadu Latha, 42 lakhs from Bibito, Merlin Jose, Shibu at Valapillashala, Athira, Valiyavila Sreejith of Nedumangad, According to the police, they took 9 lakhs from Chirayinkeezh Shivapal, Nedumangad Ganesh and Divya, 9 lakhs from Attingal Rohini and Revathi, 3 lakhs from Kollamankaav Sreena, 2 lakhs from Nedumangad Vivek and 2 lakhs from Chullimanoor Tanuja. Valiyamala police said that after the fraud came out, many people from different places are coming with complaints and that he will be produced in court today.
