The 34-year-old Suryakumar Yadav took one of the most memorable catches in the history of the World Cup with immense presence of mind as the match was hanging by a thread. Through his unbelievable effort, Surya caught not just a ball, but brought home the World Cup for 140 crore Indians.


BCCI announces prize money of Rs 125 crores to Team India

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a reward of Rs 125 crore for the Indian cricket team that won the T20 World Cup in Barbados on Saturday. After winning the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, it took India another 17 years to win it again. ICC has awarded a prize money of $2.45 million (approximately Rs 20.42 crores). Following the win, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had contacted Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and coach Rahul Dravid to congratulate them for the achievement.
