THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM has sought an explanation from the district committee member who levelled strong allegations against the Chief Minister. The CPM Thiruvananthapuram District Committee held in the last two days has seen strong criticism against the Chief Minister and CPM leaders. On the first day of the committee, Karamana Hari, a member of the district committee, said that a capitalist from the capital city has influence even in the chief minister's kitchen. Then M. Swaraj, who participated as a representative of the upper committee, said that the name of the person should be mentioned and allegations should not be made without evidence. But Karamana Hari did not respond to this.

After this, the party asked to look into Hari's remark and give an explanation. There was a lot of criticism in the district committee against the Chief Minister, Minister PA Muhammad Riaz and Speaker AN Shamseer. Karamana Hari did not participate in yesterday's committee.

Some district committee members alleged that AN Shamsir had business relations with a pharmaceutical industrialist in the capital. The district secretary's reply to the allegation of some members that the party's minority approach is not communist-style has also led to uproar, reports said. Issues related to mayor also drew criticism in the committee.
