RBI announces 12 bank holidays in July, services uninterrupted via ATMs and net banking

NEW DELHI: Reserve Bank of India has announced that 12 days of this month will be public holiday for banks across India. RBI has declared holidays based on public holidays, state holidays, holidays for cultural or religious rituals, government announcements, coordination with other banks etc. The list of holidays has also been released.

Banks are closed on local holidays, holidays on special days, second Saturday, fourth Saturday and Sundays. According to the Reserve Bank of India notification, users will be able to use ATMs, net banking and mobile applications of banks without interruption even on holidays.

July 3- Banks in Meghalaya will be closed on the occasion of Beh Deen Khlam.

July 6- Banks in Aizawl will be closed to observe MHIP.

July 7- Sunday is a holiday for all banks in the country

July 8- Banks will be closed in Imphal on the occasion of Kang Rathjatra.

Banks in Gangtok will be closed on July 9- Drukpa Tshe Si.

July 13 - Second Saturday

July 14- Sunday will be a holiday for all banks in the country.

July 16- Banks in Dehradun will be closed on the occasion of Harela.

July 17- Banks in many states of the country will be closed on the occasion of Muharram.

July 21- Sunday is a holiday for all banks in the country

July 27-Fourth Saturday

July 28- Sunday is a holiday for all banks in the country
