'Poove Poove Paalappoove...'; employees shoot reels video in Municipality office, show cause notice issued

PATHANAMTHITTA: A set of government employees have faced action for shooting reels in a government office. The action was taken against 8 employees of the Revenue section in the Thiruvalla Municipality. The Municipal Secretary has issued a show cause notice to the employees. They have been directed to provide an explanation within three days.

The Municipal Secretary said that if the video was shot when the public was present in the Municipality or during office hours, it would be a violation of the Municipal rules.

"We will investigate the matter. There isn't a problem if the video was recorded after work hours. However, strict action would be taken if it is found that service to the public had been disrupted. The employees were issued show cause notice for sharing the video on social media," the Municipal Secretary said.

The employees shot the reels for the song 'Poove Poove Paalappoove' from the film 'Devadoothan'.
