CPM activist threatens Binoy Viswam via FB post for criticizing SFI

KOZHIKODE: CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam has received a threat from CPM activist Ranjish TP Kallachi following his criticism of the SFI. The threat was issued via a Facebook post.

Ranjish TP Kallachi's post stated, "You who became MLA and Minister due to the dedication of CPM workers in Nadapuram, need not come to teach SFI. If you continue to bring out the statements made by you during the dark days of the emergency, SFI will not be the one to answer." Binoy Viswam previously served as an MLA in Nadapuram.

Binoy Viswam had criticized SFI, calling its current culture primitive and unrepresentative of a true leftist student movement. ‘Today's SFI activists are ignorant of the Left's duty to the new world. They do not know the meaning of the word left wing. SFI will become a liability for the Left if it does not learn the right lesson and correct itself,’ said Binoy Viswam.
