GURUGRAM: A seven-year-old boy was thrown against the wall killing him by his mother’s live-in partner. The incident happened last night at the Rajendra Park Area at Gurugram in Haryana. The boy’s elder brother aged nine is undergoing treatment after beaten by him. Police said the incident happened when their mother Preeti was not at home. The police have taken the accused Vineet Chaudhary into custody.

Preeti moved in with Vineet Chaudhary of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, after the death of her husband Vijay Kumar. She was staying with Vineet and her children Manu (7) and Preet (9) in Gurugram. Police said Vineet came home drunk last night and beat her children brutally. In a fit of rage, he picked up Manu and threw him against the wall, killing him. He also picked up Preet and threw him on the ground.

Preeti came home seeing this and immediately informed her neighbours. Though they were taken to the hospital, Manu was declared dead by then. Seriously injured Preet is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Vijay Kumar’s father told police that his son died last year and after that Preeti started living with Vineet. He also said that Vineet used to beat the two children in Preeti’s absence. Vineet, who was working in a private company, has been arrested.
