Brutal torture in Laos among Chinese nationals; Palakkad lawyer arrested for duping youth with job promise

KOLLENGODE: An agent has been taken into custody for duping an unemployed man by offering fake job promises in a multinational company and taking a whopping commission. Palakkad cyber police arrested lawyer Sreejith (31) at his house in Kollengode, Palakkad.

The victim, a native of Chandranagar had paid Rs three lakhs as commission to Sreejith. The victim was made to forcibly work in cyber fraud centres in Laos, while he was also physically tortured by Chinese nationals.

The youth somehow managed to escape the centre and return to India. The Palakkad cyber police registered the case based on his complaint. The accused was arrested by a team of Cyber ​​Police Inspector PD Anoop Mon, MS Mahesh, CPOs HS Hirose, Ullas Kumar, Sharanya, Nias and Prem Kumar.
