MANDI: Mandi MP and actress Kangana Ranaut told reporters that she would meet her constituents from Mandi only if they showed her their Aadhaar cards. She also told people that they should write down the purpose of their visit on paper beforehand so that people do not face any inconvenience.

'A lot of tourists visit Himachal Pradesh. So, the people of Mandi should carry their Aadhaar cards. Should write down on the paper what you are doing and why meeting me. This is to avoid inconvenience to the people. Many tourists and people from outside the constituency visit me in office.

So the people in the constituency are facing a lot of inconvenience. Also, people from northern region of Himachal can come to meet me at my home in Manali. Those in Mandi can come directly to the office. It's better to see in person', said Kangana.

After this proposal of Kangana was widely circulated, she is facing a lot of criticism. Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh, who contested against Kangana in Mandi, also criticized her. He said people coming to meet him need not bring their Aadhaar cards.

‘We are people's representatives. So, it is a responsibility to meet people from all sections of the state. Be it a small job or a big job. Aadhaar card is not required for that. Asking to write the demand on the paper is not a proper procedure', said Vikramaditya Singh.
