Young actor surpasses Mohanlal, Mammootty to emerge richest in South India

It is just part of the actors' trade to demand higher wages equalling their popularity. In the southern film industry, especially Malayalam, no actors would rival the payment taken by Mammootty and Mohanlal. They are the highest-paid actors in Malayalam and South India by a big margin.

Only a few actors including Vijay in Tamil had made moves to surpass the higher wages of Mohanlal in southern industry. But now, another youngster has emerged from the same turf and his new remuneration has taken all by surprise.

Despite coming from the Telugu industry, Ram Charan harbours a great connection with mollywood and carries a massive fan base in Kerala. After 'RRR', Ram Charan upped his wage to Rs 100 crore but now. as per reports, for Buchi Babu Sana’s new film ‘RC 16’, Ram Charan has demanded Rs 120 crore which is by far one of the highest payments received by any South Indian actor.

According to a media report, Ramcharan's salary is more than Mohanlal and Mammootty combined.
