Central government issues security warning to millions of android users, urges strict adherence to safety guidelines

NEW DELHI: The central government has issued a security warning to millions of Android mobile phone users. Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CEAT IN) has come up with new instructions for the users. According to the warning, cyber attackers can steal important information of users and exploit it by configuring the executive arbitrary code (arbitrary code) in the phones.

The issue also affects the security of framework, system, Google Play system updates, ARM components, MediaTek components, Imagination components, Qualcomm components, Qualcomm closed source components, etc. of Android users of versions 12, 12L, 13 and 14 must strictly follow the safety guidelines. More than ten million users in the country are using versions of Android.

CEAT IN has stated that the security warning is also applicable to smartphone brands like Samsung, Realme, OnePlus, Vivo and Xiaomi.
