Fire breaks out in firecracker factory in Thiruvananthapuram; one seriously injured

PALODE: One person was seriously injured after a fire broke out at a firecracker factory in Nandiyodu in Thiruvananthapuram. The fire broke out in the firecracker factory and the shop named Sree Muruga at Alampara at around 10.30 am today. Shibu, the owner of the firecracker factory, sustained serious burns. He has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. According to the latest reports, the situation has been brought under control. It is unclear how the fire started. The shop was completely destroyed by the fire.


According to reports, only Shibu was present in the shop at the time of the accident. Locals said that the shop caught fire with a massive noise. Nandiyodu is a place in Thiruvananthapuram known for firecrackers. Several people are running firecracker shops here with licenses.
