ANKOLA: Manaf, the lorry owner, said that no one should go into other controversies in connection with the rescue operations of Arjun of Kozhikode, who went missing in the landslide in Shirur. Manaf responded that everyone is here is worried and is constantly talking to the authorities. Many things including paperwork are done alone. Manaf said that no one should come from Kerala to the disaster area.

Permission has been given to 25 people and that is enough. At the local level, the news is coming in such a way that people in Kerala are insulting Karnataka. Many people here are not understanding the plight of Arjun's family. Did not say anything so far as didn’t want to upset his family. Arjun may be outside the vehicle and I have a suspicion in it.

The military headquarters in Bengaluru confirmed that Arjun and the lorry are not in the land. The army hinted that Arjun and the lorry may be under the mud and soil of the Gangavali river. A simultaneous search on land and water, with the help of modern radar systems and ISRO satellite images, failed to find him on the seventh day.

The radar receiving the signal at a depth of 15 meters was brought Monday noon. A signal was then received that there was a long piece of metal and rock at a depth of eight meters. The calculation was that it could be Arjun's lorry and the car in front. Even though the entire soil was changed to eight meters in three spots by 5 pm, there was no result. The search was stopped after that last evening. Meantime, after seeing the signal on the shore, the army also conducted a search in the river last evening.

Woman's body found
A body of a woman was found during the search related to the Shirur landslide. The body was found 12 km away from the accident spot. Uttara Kannada District Collector confirmed this. It is suspected that it could be the body of Sanni Hanumanta Gowda, who went missing in the landslide. Efforts have been made to confirm this. The body is decaying.

Nine people went missing in the landslide. The bodies of two women were recovered. Seven people were injured. Six houses have been destroyed here.
