'We had planned to eat together on the day she was assaulted; even those who supported her stopped calling me once I testified in court'

Celebrity makeup artist Renju Renjimar said that many actresses stopped calling her to do make-up as she openly expressed her opinions. She also said that several actresses have influenced her in life. Renju Renjimar made these revelations in an interview given to a YouTube channel.

"I am someone who openly expresses my opinions. I have been kept away from several films because of this nature of mine. Many artists stopped calling me to do make-up. I had testified in the court in the actress assault case. I had also expressed my opinions on social media. Maybe, that is why they stopped calling me. Even the actresses who supported the survivor stopped calling me. That actress and I had planned to have food together on the day she was assaulted. Unfortunately, it did not happen as I was suffering from migraine," Renju Renjimar said.

"It was another actress who called me the next day and told me about the incident. Maybe, I'll receive death threats for saying these things again. I had received several threats in the past. However, I'm not afraid of them. As a result, I was kept away from various projects. Many actresses avoided me for working with Mamta Mohandas," she said.

"Many people have influenced me in life. The actresses who influenced me are Jyothirmayi, Muktha, Bhavana and Shwetha Menon. Bhavana had called me to do her make-up for her wedding. I am someone who cried along with Mamta Mohandas after seeing the physical and mental pain that she underwent. No other actress has suffered so much physically. Mamta has also helped me a lot. She helped me both mentally and financially," Renju said.

"Bhavana also helped me a lot. Following my requests, she provided financial assistance to people in our community during floods and during the COVID outbreak. They are all part of my life. Priyamani is also very close to me. I am her first choice whenever she comes to Kerala. She had spent a lot of time in my house. Whenever I send her a message, she'll reply within seconds. Most people do not do so. I have faced bad experiences from some people," she added.
