‘We are not ready to sacrifice another life for Arjun’; understands strong currents posing challenge to rescue operations, says family
SHIRUR: Jithin, brother-in-law of Arjun, who went missing in the landslide, said that he understands that strong currents are posing a challenge to the rescue operations. While talking to a media, he said that his family are not ready to sacrifice another life during the search for Arjun.
Jithin is in Shirur. 'It has been raining here since last night. It is believed that they will be able to search in the river after the current subsides today. We get the same information as the media gets. I have informed our family about the weather. We are not ready to sacrifice another life for our Arjun,' said Jithin.
Meantime, Arjun's family had lodged a complaint against the slanderous campaign against them on social media. The words during the press meet were edited and circulated with misinterpretation. The complaint also said that the voice of Arjun's aunt was edited and inserted in the video. The cyber police are investigating the incident.
The probe is focused on social media account holders. Some YouTube channels were giving offensive news. The slanderous campaign was launched over a remark made by the family on the day the army launched a rescue operation to find Arjun. The family shared their worries and concerns about the search. Fake videos were circulated by editing the voices of Arjun's mother and aunt.
