DHAKA: After Sheikh Hasina resigned as Prime Minister and left the country, a massive protest is going on in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Awami League leader's hotel was set on fire by the mob. Reports said 24 people were burnt to death. The incident happened at Joshor district on Monday night.

The mob set on fire Zabir International Hotel owned by Awami League district secretary Shahin Chakkladar. An Indonesian national was also among the dead, reported PTI. It is doubtful if there are still people trapped in the hotel.

The mob reached the hotel on Monday night and set fire to the ground floor. The fire quickly spread upwards. The people in the hotel could not even escape. Many similar incidents are happening in the country. Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country when the anti-reservation movement broke out in Bangladesh.

Videos of mobs storming into the Prime Minister's official residence and looting everything were viral on social media the other day. The mobs are attacking the residences of several Awami League leaders and workers.
