Ten-year-old girl dies in Thrissur after shawl gets entangled around neck

THRISSUR: A ten-year-old girl died after her shawl got entangled around her neck. The dead has been identified as Elvina Reji, daughter of Reji of Chelakkara Vattuli and Brisla. The incident happened last night at 9 pm.

The girl died after the shawl got entangled around her neck while playing. Her parents were at home at the time of the incident. When her mother went to call her for dinner, found her lying with the shawl around her neck. A part of the shawl was tied to the window and the other to her neck. She was immediately rushed to the hospital but her life could not be saved.

The Chelakkara police have registered a case and an investigation has started. The forensic team have also collected evidence.
