This incident happened years before the actress assault case. The shooting of a film was in progress and the heroine was a newcomer. The director was famous and established. The heroine's father was the one who used to accompany her to the shooting set. The heroine was a girl from a wealthy family. The director was 'very caring' towards girls. This director does not jump up and fuss when the heroine makes mistakes while acting. He was not even raising his voice!!! Finally, the shooting neared its last days...

One evening the director called the heroine to his room. During the conversation, he said that the film will be a hit and the actress will get many opportunities. The actress was happy to hear this. Then the topic of conversation changed. The director slowly indicated his 'desire' to the heroine. His hands reached out to her…

The next scene was the actress running out. She told the matter to her father without leaving out any details. The rather tall father pushed open the director's room door and lifted the director by the collar.

The director begged the father, 'Please don't disclose what happened'. The movie was released and became a super hit! Naturally, the newbie actress got noticed. The media came looking for her. In every interview, she praised the director for giving her the opportunity. However, her opportunities in Malayalam cinema started to reduce. She left Kerala and went to Chennai and Hyderabad. She got a fair amount of opportunities in Tamil and Telugu films. This director was among those who were "shocked" to learn that an actress had been assaulted.

Despite all the serious remarks and statements that have come out in the Hema committee report so far, the filmmakers are silent about it. Only director Vinayan, who is well aware of the Powergroup's actions in the film industry, and some actors associated with WCC and some others have responded.
