'No problems in Tamil film industry, problems are there only in Malayalam': Actor Jiiva angered over question related to Radhika Sarathkumar's revelations

CHENNAI: Actor Jiiva said there are no problems in the Tamil film industry and problems are there only in Malayalam. The actor was answering the media's question about the Hema Committee report. Jiiva was attending a private function in Theni.

The second edition of the Me Too allegation is currently happening in Malayalam. Violence against women is wrong. A friendly atmosphere is needed on film sets,' said the actor.

Meanwhile, there was an altercation between Jiiva and the media workers. Questions related to Radhika Sarathkumar's revelations is what angered the actor. The actor said that such questions should be avoided during a pleasant occasion. Repeating the question is what upset the actor. Jiiva argued with the media workers and had a verbal altercation. Jiiva left the place without reacting further.

Radhika's revelation was that people were secretly recording the nude scenes of the actresses with a camera in the caravan. "On the set, I saw the men sitting together and enjoying these scenes on their mobile phones. I got scared and went to the hotel room without changing my clothes in the caravan," said Radhika. The investigation team has sought information from Radhika after her disclosure was became a topic of discussion at the national level.

At the same time, actor Vishal, the general secretary of the Nadigar Sangam, has announced that the Tamil stars' organization Nadigar Sangam will soon form a committee to look into human rights violations including sexual assault in Tamil cinema. He was reacting in the context of the Hema Committee report.
