'Prime Minister is also involved in Adani's corruption'; Rahul Gandhi demands arrest of Gautam Adani
NEW DELHI: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has demanded the arrest of billionaire Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group. Rahul Gandhi was speaking to the media after a court in New York charged Adani with bribery and fraud. He said that Adani is roaming around free despite being involved in such massive corruption. Rahul said that there should be a JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee) inquiry into all the transactions of Adani.
"Why is the Centre not taking action against Adani? The Prime Minister is protecting Adani. Despite committing such massive corruption, Adani is roaming around free. Although various chief ministers were arrested in various cases, no action has been taken against Adani. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also involved in corruption. SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Buch is a "protector" of Adani," Rahul Gandhi said.
"We will raise the matter in the Parliament. There should be a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the transactions of the Adani Group. The PM’s credibility has been destroyed. The entire country knows they Adani and PM are one. We will expose everyone and the entire network," he said.
