‘If memory card is released, it will affect life'; survivor in actor assault case seeks President’s intervention
KOCHI: The survivor in the actor assault case has written a letter to the President seeking justice. The letter was written in the wake of the High Court and Supreme Court's failure to take action in the case of the illegal opening and examination of the memory card containing the visuals of the attack.
Scientific tests had proved that the memory card was opened and examined thrice while in custody of the court. Her complaint said that she had approached the Supreme Court to find the people who committed this crime and take action, but no action was taken.
It is the responsibility of the courts to find the people who examined the memory card and take action. However, in a situation where no action has been taken from their side, a letter has now been sent to the President, demanding administrative action against the judiciary.
The letter said that if this memory card is released, it will affect her future life and therefore the President's intervention is needed for an effective investigation and action in this regard. It is reported that the trial of the actress attack case is now in its final stages. It is in this situation that the President's intervention has been sought.
