"Ready to withdraw the case, Allu Arjun has nothing to do with my wife's death": Deceased woman's husband responds
HYDERABAD: Bhaskar, the husband of Revathi, who died in the stampede during the release of Pushpa 2, said that Allu Arjun had nothing to do with his wife's death. "We are ready to withdraw the case, I am not aware of the arrest. Allu Arjun has nothing to do with my wife's death in the stampede," Bhaskar said.
Allu Arjun approached the High Court for bail after the lower court remanded the actor for 14 days. Telangana High Court granted interim bail to Allu Arjun afterwards. Allu Arjun was accused in the stampede during the screening of the movie Pushpa 2 in which the woman died.
The task force team of the Hyderabad Police had arrived at Jubilee Hills, Allu's residence, and arrested the actor on Friday morning. Section 118(1) and Section 3(5) have been charged against the actor. The video of the actor being arrested and taken away had gone viral on social media. Allu's wife and father Allu Aravind were with him at the time of the arrest.
The government lawyer argued that Allu and his team had unexpectedly arrived at the theatre on the day of the premiere of Pushpa-2 and it caused a big law and order problem and that was the reason for the stampede and death. At the same time, Allu Arjun's lawyers said that Allu did not deliberately intend to harm anyone. The lawyers argued that the police should have controlled the stampede and that Allu was not responsible for what happened.
Allu Arjun told the court that the allegations against him are baseless. He said that he had informed the theatre owners and the police about his arrival at the theatre and had instructed them to make arrangements.
