THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The public education department confirmed a lapse from faculties over the question paper of half yearly examination getting leaked. The crime branch is also taking steps to head the investigation into the teachers involved.

Question paper preparation was done in Samagra Shiksha Kerala. All the teachers part of the question paper preparation team are now under the lens. It is rumoured that some teachers involved in the preparation took the exams in levity and shared the questions furtively with tuition centres.

The SSLC question papers of this year's Onam exams were leaked through the same YouTube channel. At that time, the statement of the channel admin was taken while no further action followed. The repeat of the same mistake opened the lax in the previous investigation. The question papers are printed in C-APT. The security apparatus here is also under investigation. The teachers have raised suspicions that there were errors in the printing process.

A technical check will also be conducted to see if the question paper has reached the private presses or was transferred to private emails.

Possibilities:

1)The teacher who prepared the question paper may have leaked it to a YouTube channel. A set of questions will be prepared and one of them printed.

2) The printing of important documents including the lottery is done with utmost care by C-apt. A chance of paper leaking through the firm is only a bleak possibility.

3) The question papers are delivered to the schools a week before. In schools with high attendance, the question papers are taken out from the bundle earlier to be placed in the exam hall. There is the possibility of someone shrewdly taking a photo of the question paper and leaking it.
