Sajan Samuel accused in several cases including murder; body transported under the guise of wild boar meat; details out

MOOLAMATTOM: Police said that the body found wrapped in a mat near the Moolamattom teak coop on Vagamon Road is that of an accused in several cases, including murder. The body is that of Sajan Samuel (47), a native of Parassery, Melukavu Erumapra. The police have taken six people into custody in the incident. The police have arrested Sharon Baby, a native of Manappadi, Ashwin Kannan, a native of Arakkulam, Shiju Areeplakkal, a native of Kannikal, Akhil Raju, a native of Thazhvaram Colony, Manoj, a native of Elappally, and Prince Ajesh, a native of Moolamattom.

A room with shutters was rented out to painting workers in Melukavu. There, a verbal argument broke out between the youths and Sajan. Sajan was then beaten to death with a metal rod by stuffing a cloth in his mouth. He was then wrapped in a mat, tied in a sack and left in the teak coop in the autorickshaw of a native of Muttom. The other day, Sajan Samuel's mother filed a missing complaint at the Melukavu police station. The information came to light when the police questioned Sharon after seeing him standing drunk on the road during the investigation. The five accused in the case were arrested from Vagamon while they were trying to cross into Tamil Nadu. Two others were also there to transport the body to Erumapra. There are a total of nine accused.

Told auto driver it was wild boar meat

The accused unloaded the body wrapped in a sack near the transformer in the teak coop on the night of the 30th. They said that it was the meat of a wild boar that had died after being hit by a vehicle from Erumapra. The autorickshaw driver, who became suspicious, told his father about this. The father informed Kanjar SI Baiju P Babu. The next morning, when an inspection was conducted, the body was found wrapped in a mat in the bushes on the canal side.
