LAHORE: Former ODI champions England were knocked out by Afghanistan in the crucial match of the Champions Trophy. The England players are currently going through a rough patch, not just dealing with the humiliating exit but also the taunts from cricket fanatics.

Former Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar's sly dig at England middle-order batsman Harry Brook is now going viral.

"I just saw Harry Brook's dismissal. Are the lights in Lahore ok or not? Because when he played in Kolkata, he said that he couldn't see the ball properly because of smog. That's why I'm asking. I hope the Lahore lights are fine? Because the catching practice he gave to get out… I don't know,"

England had lost the Twenty20 and ODI series in India before the Champions Trophy. Brook was dismissed for 17 runs in the Twenty20 match held at Kolkata. Brook was dismissed by Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy which he complained on the smog filled air of Eden Gardens. In the match against Afghanistan yesterday, Brook was dismissed by off-spinner Muhammad Nabi. Brook scored just 25 runs off 21 balls.

England opener Ben Duckett also came under attack of the Indian fans on internet. Duckett, after England trailed the series to India had sought to take revenge at the Champions trophy.
