Dilip Ghosh weds Rinku Majumdar: Senior BJP leader marries party colleague at the age of 60 to fulfill late mother's wish

KOLKATA: Former West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh got married at the age of 60. Dilip Ghosh married party worker Rinku Majumdar. The BJP leader said that he married to fulfill his mother's wish. The marriage was according to Bengali traditional customs.

The two met during a morning walk in 2021. Dilip revealed that they decided to get married earlier this month. Rinku said that she was the one who proposed and that she was happy that Dilip gradually agreed. This is Dileep's first marriage and Rinku, 51, has a son from her first marriage.

Several BJP leaders attended the wedding. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sent bouquets and a congratulatory letter. Several Trinamool Congress leaders also expressed their wishes.

Dilip, who has been working in the RSS for a long time, served as the BJP president in Bengal from 2015 to 2021. He is also active in the 2026 assembly election campaign.
