NEW DELHI: After Operation Sindoor, the central government is planning to send a delegation to various countries to expose Pakistani terrorism to the world.

The aim of this mission is to make the international community aware of the terrorism emanating from Pakistan. A delegation in this initiative will be led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. Shashi Tharoor has accepted the invitation of the central government. The team, including Tharoor, will tour the US and the UK. The government is trying to build an alliance against cross-border terrorism. For this, the government is holding talks with the opposition parties. The government's move is to reach an agreement with everyone before finalising the composition and timing of the delegation.

The delegation will interact with foreign countries, global leaders and the media to share India's perspective on the need and implications of Operation Sindoor.

The Congress has made it clear that it will be part of this program. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the Congress stands with the national interest and opposes only the BJP's stance of politicising nationalism. Jairam Ramesh also said that Union Minister Kiren Rijiju spoke to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding this. 26 people were killed in an attack by Pakistani terrorists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22. In retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, destroying nine Pakistani terror camps and killing more than 100 terrorists.
