'I've never taken off my clothes for money or any other reason'

Actress Sona Nair, a beloved figure among Malayali audiences through numerous films and TV serials, has made it clear that she does not pay any attention to negative comments on social media. She made these remarks during an interview with a media outlet.

“I take all comments in a positive light. What truly matters is the work we do—not the comments. We can’t expect everyone to speak the same way about us. People will keep writing comments. Their few words may be fine, but beyond that, none of this is a big deal. Let it all take its own course,” Sona said.

“I have never taken off my clothes for money or any other reason. I’ve never had to do that, and I never will. That’s why I’ve been able to sustain my place here for 35 years.”

“Recently, I attended a wedding, and someone took a video from behind. I don’t understand what satisfaction they get out of this. They just capture back shots and post them on social media, followed by inappropriate comments. If they really want that, they should go to other websites. What they find there is far more than just back shots. But no, everyone seems to want just Sona Nair’s back. I didn’t even know a camera was there. So many people’s privacy is being violated. Even if I go out with my husband, people will claim I was with some random bearded man,” she said.
