Extremely heavy rain; Kasaragod Collector declares holiday for educational institutions including professional colleges

KASARAGOD: In the wake of extremely heavy rain, the District Collector has declared a holiday for educational institutions in Kasaragod district. The Collector's announcement says that professional colleges, Kendriya Vidyalayas, tuition centers, madrasas, Anganwadis, and special classes in the district will be closed on June 14 and 15. Meanwhile, there will be no change in the pre-scheduled exams. They will be held as scheduled.

In addition to Kasaragod district, the District Collector has instructed that educational institutions should not function in Kannur. The restrictions will be in place for the next two days. The Collector informed that schools, Anganwadis, and tuition centers should also not function. An extremely heavy rain warning has been issued in the district on June 14 and 15.
