'I've always told my kids not to pick up that habit from Parvathy, it's a dirty habit,' says Jayaram
Jayaram is a beloved actor among Malayalis. Not just the star himself, but his family is also well-liked by the audience. The weddings of Jayaram’s children had also gone viral on social media. Now, an old interview given by Jayaram is making waves on social platforms.
In the interview, the host asks Jayaram: “What is the one habit of your wife Parvathy that you wouldn’t want your children to pick up?” Though initially hesitant to answer, Jayaram eventually opened up.
“Parvathy chews betel quid occasionally. Not always. Sometimes, she’ll ask me, ‘Shall I chew one?’ It’s usually when we’re at a wedding or some function. I tell her, ‘Don’t do that — it’s a dirty habit.’ But when she says, ‘It’s only once in a while,’ I give in. That’s how it happens. She probably chews it five or six times a year. And whenever she does, I tell our kids, ‘Don’t pick this up — it’s a dirty habit,’” said Jayaram.
The video has received a wide range of comments online. Many praised his honesty, saying things like: “It takes guts to talk about such habits openly,” and “Listening to this reminds me of Jayaram's film Madhuchandralekha.”
