Bhadradeepam pooja after sixty years; Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple all set for Karkidaka Seeveli, special darshan today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Bhadradeepam ritual held at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, along with the Ani Kalabham, will conclude today, on the Karkidaka Seeveli day.

The Bhadradeepam ceremony is being held at the temple after sixty years. This time, darshan facilities have been made available for devotees in the Bhadradeepapura, which was previously inaccessible to them.

Salagramas have been installed in the Bhadradeepam Mandapam on the south side of the Seevelipura. Devotees can witness the Bhadradeepa Puja from 8 am to 12 pm on Thursday.

Bhadradeepam ritual was held along with the seven-day Kalabham before Uttarayan and Dakshinayan. The last Bhadradeepam ritual was performed by Sree Chithira Thirunal Maharaja in 1962.

Bhadradeepam, which began with the Acharyavaranam on the 12th, will conclude with the Thirumudi kalasham today after the tantric ceremonies. Perunthiramruthu Pooja, which is part of the Ani Kalabham, will be held under the guidance of Tantri Tharananallur Brahmashree Satheesan Namboothiripad,

The Kalasha darshan will be held from 8 to 9 am. After the Nirmalya darshan in the morning, the darshan times are from 6:30 to 7:00, 10:00 to 11:00, and 4:30 to 6:00 in the evening. At 8.30 pm, the Karkidaka Seeveli will be held in the golden Garuda vehicle.
