Malayali's mysterious accident death in Dharmasthala; Son receives death threats after filing complaint
BENGALURU: A family from Kerala filed a complaint alleging mystery over the death of a Malayali in a car accident in Dharmasthala, Karnataka. KJ Joy, a native of Idukki who was staying in Beltangadi, Karambaru, died in a road accident in 2018. Alleging mystery over the death of his father, Pulimparamba native Aneesh filed a complaint.
Aneesh alleged that the death was mysterious, similar to the now surfacing horrific news of murders from Dharmasthala. Joy was riding a bike as per the instructions of a prominent person in Dharmasthala when he met with an accident and died. Aneesh filed a complaint in this regard in Dharmasthala, but had to return home to Kerala after facing severe death threats.
Dharmasthala has become a hot topic of discussion after a sanitation worker came forward to reveal the brutal sexual abuse and murders that took place in and around the town. As per the whistleblower, the purported rapes and abuses took place between 1998 and 2014. It is suspected that the victims even included schoolgirls. The former sanitation worker revealed that he was forced to bury the bodies of the victims without the outside world knowing about the grisly truth.
Following the revelation, the Karnataka Police formed a special investigation team to investigate the incident. The temple trust has welcomed the investigation. The Karnataka Police is keeping the details of the person who provided the information confidential.
