Separated from his wife, did not leave his room for a month; what happened to Thaweesak Namwongsa?

THAILAND: A 44-year-old man didn't leave his room for a month due to the grief of his divorce from his wife. He refused to even eat. In a tragic end to the incident, he was found dead by his 16-year-old son. According to reports, the man, identified as Thaweesak Namwongsa, had only consumed beer after the divorce. The incident took place in Thailand’s Ban Chang district. The son said that his father had refused to eat the food even though he had cooked hot meals for him.

Thaweesak Namwongsa only drank beer. His son was cooking food at home. The 44-year-old refused to even leave the room even though his son forced him to eat food. Reports also say that the 44-year-old had gone through severe mental stress.

The son says that by the time he came home from school, his father had a seizure and was lying unconscious in his bedroom. He immediately informed the health workers from the Siam Rayong Foundation and they arrived. But by then he was dead. More than a hundred empty beer bottles were found in the room.

His room was filled with beer bottles everywhere except the bed. The initial conclusion is that the cause of death was excessive drinking of beer. Reports say that other details will be known only after tests.
