'There was a time when my mother sold her own blood to buy Cerelac for me, being a good human being matters more than wealth'; actress Meghna speaks about divorce

Actress Meghna Vincent had previously remarked that the condition of roads in Kerala makes it impossible to do makeup while travelling in a car, a statement that had gone viral and attracted widespread trolling. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she had cried at the time when the trolls surfaced, but now she herself shares such troll posts.

“I cry from time to time,” Meghna said. “I cry really hard. But that isn’t something that needs to be shown to everyone. I don’t like anyone seeing me cry. If we have no other options, we won’t stay down for long — we rise again,” she added.

The actress also spoke about her struggles growing up and the sacrifices her mother made to raise her. “There was a time when my mother sold her own blood to buy Cerelac for me. I only came to know of this later from one of her friends; my mother never mentioned it,” Meghna shared.

Speaking about marriage, Meghna stated that she currently has no plans. “Wanting to settle down with family is every person’s wish. But I have no plan as of now. It could happen tomorrow, or next month, or it may never happen at all. There is no point in clinging to a thali (mangalsutra) or a marriage certificate if we aren’t happy even for a moment. Life should not be lived dragging along each day miserably. The most important thing is to think in terms of ‘ours’ rather than ‘yours’ and ‘mine.’ Being a good human being matters more than wealth or the weight of the thali. None of that really matters to me. I have never felt that way,” she said.

On the subject of her divorce, Meghna commented: “Those who need to know the reason already know it. There are also certain legal restrictions. It is not something that can be openly discussed. There are people who speak openly about it, but I have never felt the need to do so. What good would it do? I don’t want to be just another story among many stories,” the actress said.
