CPI centenary celebration conference on August 19
ALAPPUZHA: CPI will organize a centenary celebration conference in Vayalar as part of the state conference to be held from September 8 to 12. The conference, which will be held on August 19, the memorial day of P. Krishna Pillai, will be inaugurated by State Secretary Binoy Viswam. Minister K. Rajan will deliver the keynote address. Minister P. Prasad will preside.
1,000 family gatherings will be organised in Alappuzha in connection with the state conference. Trade union seminar, Dalit rights protection seminar, youth conclave, seminars on 'Pluralism and Fascism', 'National Education Policy, Implications and Alternatives', 'News of Secularism', media seminar etc. will be organized on various dates.
Minister P Prasad, chairman of the organising committee, informed that in the first phase, about half a crore rupees were collected for the conference from the activists through hundika collection.
