THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jalebis were distributed for Palode Ravi's resignation following the leak of phone conversation. Peringamala youth congress mandalam vice president Shamnad Palode distributed sweets. The party removed him from the post after the video of it surfaced. Action was taken for anti-organizational activities.

The phone conversation of Palode Ravi saying that the Congress will come third in the panchayat elections, the Muslim faction will go to other parties and the CPM, and the Congress will become useless baggage, was leaked. The phone conversation between Palode Ravi and Vamanapuram Block General Secretary A Jaleel revealed the problems within the party, including groupism and selfishness among local leaders. Jaleel was also expelled from the primary membership of the party for engaging in anti-organizational activities after the conversation leaked.
