Romeo caught from church wearing churidar
PALAKKAD: A man who entered a church dressed as a woman was arrested in Agali. The incident took place this morning at the Fathima Mata Church in Goolikkadavu, Attappadi. He entered the church wearing a churidar.
When he saw people, he tried to run away. Seeing this, people chased him and caught him. 'I came here last night. I was drunk and fell asleep,' he told the police. He initially said his name was Sarath. When questioned in detail, he said that it was Romeo.
He keeps saying that he had no intention of stealing and he fell asleep, but at times, he speaks in contradictory ways. This is what has made the police suspicious. The police say that Romeo did not have any phone or identification documents in his hand. It is reported that he is a native of Wayanad. He will be questioned further.
