Youth arrested for smuggling MDMA in condoms
KOLLAM: The main accused in the case of smuggling MDMA hidden in the anus in Kollam City has been arrested. The arrested is Zakir Hussain of Eravipuram Udayathara Nagar. The Kollam East Police reached Bengaluru and arrested the accused. His assistant, Ajmal Shah of Thattamala was arrested earlier. The accused smuggled MDMA by hiding it in his anus after stuffing in condoms.
This was the biggest drug bust in Kollam this year. The police seized 107 grams of MDMA then. Information about Zakir Hussain was obtained after grilling Ajmal Shah. It was then that it was understood that the accused was in Bengaluru. Zakir Hussain went into hiding after learning that Ajmal Shah had been arrested. Zakir Hussain was arrested through a tactical move after reaching Bengaluru with Ajmal Shah.
The police said that there are five criminal cases, including drug trafficking, against Zakir Hussain in various police stations in Kollam. Ajmal Shah was arrested by the City DANSAF team and East Police near the railway station. The team led by the Kollam ACP made the biggest drug trafficking arrest of the year. More information came to light when he was taken to the district hospital on suspicion and scanned.
