Youth electrocuted to death while cleaning temple premises in Vizhinjam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shocking incident, a temple worker died of electrocution at the Azhimala temple in Vizhinjam. The deceased has been identified as Rahul Vijayan (26), a native of Dalumukham, Neyyattinkara. According to reports, he was electrocuted while cleaning the temple premises using a pressure gun. Rahul was employed as a cleaning staff member at the temple.

Earlier today, another person died of electrocution in Kozhikode. The victim was Usha (53) from Asharikandi, Thodannur, Vadakara. She was cleaning her yard when she came into contact with a tree branch that had fallen into the courtyard along with a live electric wire. The tree had fallen from a nearby property onto the power line, causing it to drop into her yard.
