Transformer falls from trailer, causes major traffic congestion

KOCHI: A major accident took place in Kochi when a huge transformer fell from a trailer. The incident happened this afternoon near the Infopark gate on the Seaport–Airport road in Kakkanad. The transformer, which was being taken from Brahmapuram to Kalamassery for repair works, toppled onto the middle of the road.

Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on the Seaport-Airport road as the transformer fell onto the middle of the road. Vehicles were unable to move forward for a long time. Police and fire force teams are working together to remove the transformer and restore traffic movement.
