'Will take barely seconds to kill you'; New audio of Rahul Mamkootathil threatening woman surfaces

KOCHI: Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil invited fresh trouble after another of his phone conversations coercing a woman to undergo an abortion surfaced on social media. In the audio, Rahul can be heard using coarse language, telling the woman how her decisions could hurt his career.

Rahul: You said that because you did not discuss the matter with me. You are not aware of the consequences.

Woman: You preach about righteousness in politics. I can’t see any of it in your real life.

Rahul: You are leaving me nuts. I’m totally perturbed over the incident. I feel you speaking as if like in a movie.

Woman: Why should you be concerned? I promised that I would manage my pregnancy all by myself. You have no love left for me. You don’t even have any humanity left.

Rahul: Hey, don’t talk rubbish. Your decisions will affect my career, and they can tear apart my life too.
