'Should prevent administrative gridlock in technical universities'; Court intervenes yet again in Governor-Govt dispute
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court observed that there should be no administrative gridlock in the Technical University due to the government-governor dispute. The bench comprising Justices J.B. Pardiwala and K V Vishwanathan was considering a petition filed by VC Dr. K. Sivaprasad, who alleged that the syndicate meeting could not be held due to non-cooperation from government representatives for two months.
“We are aware of the undercurrents regarding the administration of the universities. The state government should inform on Monday whether it can send representatives to the syndicate meeting. The petition can be considered again on that day,” said the court.
The VC informed that the salaries and pensions of the employees have been delayed since July due to the inability to pass the budget. The court told the government not to cause difficulties for the employees.
