KOCHI: Actress Rini Ann George has urged the young woman who raised allegations against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA to come forward and open up about the distress she faced. Rini shared the message on her social media page after her recent interview triggered a political controversy in Kerala.

'Don't bother about the hunting dogs barking. Kerala's conscience is with you. The entire society is with you. You are not the one who should cry. You should face the world with a smile. The one who should cry and be isolated is the hunter. You must come forward and speak bravely about the pain you went through,' Rini wrote on her Instagram page.

Earlier, the remarks made by Rini in an interview with Kaumudy Movies had created a political storm in Kerala. Following this, allegations, including that of forced abortion, came out against Rahul Mamkootathil. Soon after, Rahul resigned from his post as State President of the Youth Congress.
