Drugs flowing from Bengaluru targeting Onam celebrations; Mohammed arrested with hashish oil worth one crore rupees

THRISSUR: A member of a gang involved in drug trafficking targeting Onam celebrations has been arrested. The drugs were seized in a joint operation conducted by the Thrissur District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) team and Thrissur City Police.

Mohammed (28), a native of Erumapetty Desamangalam, who arrived in Thrissur by train from Coimbatore on Tuesday morning, was taken into custody. He was caught in front of the railway station. Hashish oil worth about one crore rupees was seized from him during the subsequent search. The drugs were trafficked from Bengaluru. Mohammed's mobile phone is also being checked. An investigation is underway into the drug dealers.
